Water Music - a study of the River Suck through mixed media and haiku with Anne Rigney and Gwen Bond
Water Music brings together the respective talents of poet, Gwen Bond and artist, Anne Rigney in a study of the River Suck in Co. Roscommon, through the media of poetry and painting.

The Suck is the main tributary of the Shannon, Ireland's largest river and itself ranks as Ireland’s seventh longest river. Popular with tourists and anglers, the river comprises most of Roscommon's western boundary, passing through vast areas of meadow and moorland that are characteristic of the county and indeed, the west of Ireland generally.

"Water Music, light dancing on water on a summer’s day reminds me of notes of music. It is as if nature is dancing on the water, light and shade constantly shifting and changing with the light and the seasons. Reflections have always inspired me, reflections in a river are constantly changing - this is a reflection of the mind, which is always active and busy." - Anne Rigney

"I love the fusing of poetry to art, the process where I need to live with the painting to write for it." - Gwen Bond
